Think of a coffee cupping in the way you would a wine tasting – except with fine coffees, spoons, and slurping. You don’t have to be a coffee connoisseur to have a great time cupping coffee! Participants will be guided through the same tasting and evaluating process coffee industry professionals use all over the world. Your group will work with 5 to 6 different freshly roasted, small batch seasonal coffees from regions around the world, and learn about the origins of the coffees you taste.
Coffee cupping is very hands-on and the activity naturally encourages group interaction. It’s a lot of fun! When cupping is complete, we discuss what you discovered about each coffee as a group, and share thoughts. Afterward, we brew the class favorite coffee from the cupping for everyone to enjoy, with some freshly baked local pastries. Our instructors will share tips for brewing better tasting coffee at home and open the floor to questions. Directly following, the group spends time meeting or socializing. This experience is 2 hours long and we can accommodate up to 15 people in total.
