Our Quality Coffee Brewing Class is a fully immersive 1-day coffee class that takes a 360 degree approach to brewing better coffee. The first part of the day is focused on building a foundational understanding of coffee as it relates to plant species, varietals and cultivars, where it is grown, how it processed, its journey from tree to cup, and how all of that relates to you. With this foundational knowledge in place, the next part of the day focuses on the fundamentals of quality-oriented coffee brewing. Through guided hands-on brewing experiments and tasting exercises, students will learn how to isolate and control individual brewing factors that affect coffee’s taste. These barista skills are vital to brewing consistently great tasting coffee, and knowing how to troubleshoot off-tasting results. From there, we apply the knowledge to many of today’s most popular brewing devices listed in the section below. Every student will receive a packet of information containing detailed notes, brewing recipes, and home brewing equipment advice and suggestions. We’ve designed this barista training class to be approachable and fun for anyone with an interest in coffee! This coffee class provides each student with ample hands-on lab time with expert instruction in a relaxed, non-intimidating setting. Upon completion of this course, you will receive a certificate of training, certifying that you have attended and successfully completed this professional barista training course.
